 éthic étapes adheres to the following 11 principles

4. Safe facilities that meet the applicable standards.
5. A reception service to help you organise your stay.
6. A choice of cultural, sporting and artistic activities.
7. Brochures about places to visit and things to do in the area.
8. A team of qualified professionals who take pride in their educational and cultural role.
9. A written booking agreement that guarantees adherence to the commitments made to organise your stay.
10. Ongoing monitoring of the quality of our services.
11. Acknowledgement of your comments and suggestions.

                        

The two éthic étapes ranking systems provide clear information about the facilities and services available in each centre. These are updated on a regular basis to give you a precise and distinct idea of what is available to you during your stay.


> "Comfort and Services" ranking system


This ranking system was introduced in 1993, then fully updated in 2003. It covers : 

  • Accommodation : level of comfort in rooms, state of washrooms, toilets and communal areas, etc.
  • Catering : choice of catering options, restaurant opening times, quality of catering areas, etc...
  • Reception : reception opening hours, reception areas, welcome booklets, etc...
  • Relaxation rooms and areas : number and quality of communal areas
  • Additional services provided for guests : payment facilities, shop, launderette, Internet access, luggage room, etc...

Close to 150 criteria are monitored in each éthic étapes centre to provide a ranking that is as reliable as possible. This ranking will be indicated in the sections dedicated to the centres under :

> "Activities and Surroundings" ranking system


This ranking system was introduced in 2001 to assess the environmental quality of each éthic étape centre and its activities. This ranking indicates :

  • the means of transport available to reach the centre - shops and events available locally
  • the activities provided by the éthic étapes centre and its local partners (artistic, cultural and sporting activities, etc...)
  • the entertainment policy of each éthic étapes centre 
  • the immediate surroundings and sporting equipment available at the centre.
